SOFTWARE LINKS: Soundflower - https://github.com/mattingalls/Soundf... OBS - https://obsproject.com/ This video is about how to livestream a musical performance. How to integrate mixed high quality audio from a DAW (Logic X, Ableton, ProTools) into live streaming software OBS. A document has bee put together by myself and Laura Kirby here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1avx4... Donate: https://www.paypal.me/alexbayly FOR THOSE USING MIDI INSTRUMENTS CHECK OUT RYAN's Tips. / @ryanmccabemusic @Ryan McCabe How to set up Software Instruments (in my case Steinway Grand Piano) using this method: You will need to bring up the mixer (shortcut key 'x' on your keyboard) as he shows in the tutorial. Notice that midi-related channels are color-coded green at the bottom, while audio channels are color-coded blue (both of the channels were blue audio channels in the video). You will see that there are already two additional green channels in the mix, Small Hall and Large Hall effects. They have Bus 2 and Bus 3 as their inputs, respectively. The Steinway Piano is automatically set to send to these channels, Bus 2 and 3. If you follow his tutorial while leaving these bus inputs alone you will run into issues. The solution is a simple two-step process: 1. Change the input of Small Hall and Large Hall to Bus 11 and Bus 12 for each channel, respectively (it doesn't really matter what bus you use, so long as it is not occupied by another channel. I used 11 and 12 because it allowed for more space to add other channels later on without interfering, but choose whatever works for you.) 2. In order to keep the reverb effects of Small Hall and Large Hall on the piano, you will now need to change the sends on the Steinway Channel from Bus 2 and Bus 3 to Bus 11 and Bus 12 (or whatever bus you chose on step 1.) Voila! I noticed that for the Steinway Piano only the Large Hall effect was being utilized to begin with, as the knob with the blue semi-circle was set to -5.5 (about halfway) while the knob for the Small Hall effect was all the way off (you can find out exactly what level the knobs are set to by clicking on the knob next to the sends area. I included instructions for both effects to be carried over in case you wanted to play around with them. It also made sense to address both since that is the way the voice started out to begin with and it will help you avoid confusion. Hope this helps add value to an already incredible tutorial from Alex Bayly. Thank you so much again for the tutorial. Super appreciated! Laura Kirby helped make the document.
