Black Diamond Distance 15 Running Vest - An All Day Multisport Pack - Compared to Ultraspire Zygos

I've been using the Black Diamond 15 Running Vest for close to the last two years. I initially bought this pack because I thought it would be great for shorter hikes in warm weather, colder weather long-distance running, and mountain biking. As it turns out it's pretty good for all of those things. It seems much larger than 15L when compared to my Ultraspire Zygos which is a 12 liter vest. This thing just swallows gear. There is hardly any organization other than an internal pocket and some covered zips on the shoulder straps. I don't love this pack as my main running vest. I compare it with my Ultraspire Zygos running vest and the differences are clear. However, now that I live in Tucson and the weather is never cold or rainy I find myself using this pack for nearly every hike that I don't bring multiple cameras. The Black Diamond Distance 15 is comfortable for the long haul and has proven durable and weather resistant. Is it the right pack for you? I think if you're a multi sport athlete who has bigger days in the mountains this is the perfect pack. Should it be your main running pack? Probably not. Your mileage may vary.
