Kathmandu has so much to offer. In this episode I’m going to show you the best of Kathmandu. From food to adventure to hiking trails to getting yourself a luxury villa in the woods. Camping We camped in Jhuley. From Kathmandu, drive to Jarsinghpauwa and head toward Jhuley. It is just an hour drive. Roads aren’t that bad, you don’t have to take a four wheeler. While at Jhuley you can park your vehicle at Jhuley Organic farm resort, have lunch and head to this spot. It’s a 20 minute hike from the resort.. If camping is not for you, stay at this resort and hike up in the morning for sunrise. You will find yourself above the clouds, the feeling is incredible. If you are camping make sure to tick off all your camping gears. It can get cold during the night. Paragliding From Kathmandu head to Jarsinghpauwa and then head to the paragliding spot. It is fifteen minutes ahead of Jarsinghpauwa chowk. You don’t have to walk, which means there is a good road up until the takeoff spot. Contact 9801016590. Drive From Kathmandu head to Sundarijal , Shivapuri army check post counter ( above Melamchi water treatment). You have to purchase tickets since you are entering a National Park. Per person Rs 100 and Rs 150 for the vehicle. You need a four wheeler, very difficult for motorcycles. The roads are bad... it takes you about 2 hours to reach here 2. Hiking- Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and start your hike. You can hike from Sundarijal and reach the dam in about 4 hours 3. Hiking- Drive from Kathmandu to Jarsinghpauwa and to Jhuley. It’s an hour drive. You're riding your vehicle at Jhuley organic farm and hiking for 2- 3 hours to reach Dhap Dam. We aren’t sure about the roads, which mean you may also be able to drive from Jhule to the Dam itself. Aarati Aarati is conducted every day at 6 o’clock at Pashupatinath temple as a part of offerings to Shivaji. Just 15 minutes away from the city center this place is lit! Quite literally! Terraces Terraces is a 90 minutes’ drive from Kathmandu. Be sure to carry warm clothing when you're heading there, especially during the winters. It’s a lovely property with great hospitality. I have never seen a view of the entire Kathmandu valley like from anywhere else. On a clear day, you will see a 180 view of the mountains from your room.
