Here is a helpful study for bass guitar players for getting octaves together in 16th-notes while also introducing my own Octave Grip concept. Octaves with fingerstyle technique are a kind of stumbling block for a lot of bass players. With this lesson you can start to build up your skills by playing through all keys. If you can start working on your grip strength to get going, in a couple few weeks you will be amazed at the strength that you will be building. The "More" part of the lesson is intended to be a study in learning to contrast two widely differing exercises: a study in "traditional" octaves in 16th notes against a Bach-like two measure phrase that challenges the player to cross all four strings, playing upwards and then returning back down each time.
