So close to perfection... and yet with an Achilles' Heel the size of a monster truck... :/ Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at the Pinball Gold Pack, a 1996 culmination of all FIVE of the DOS Pinball releases published by 21st Century Entertainment up to that point in time, with the developers involved being Digital Illusions on some of the original Amiga releases, Spidersoft on one Amiga release and three DOS releases, and FrontLine Design handling two of the DOS releases. Something I neglected to mention since it only shows up in Pinball Fantasies is that is has a Match feature in its tables, which is odd considering that normally a Match feature in Pinball is simply for awarding additional credits after a game is finished. In Pinball Fantasies, hitting a match awards an extra ball, thus why the match is run BEFORE high scores are input!
