Handling Update -- From timid to cuddle bugs When I rescued VIB, they didn't look like they had experienced a lot of human contact. Vanilla-Bean was the most outgoing, and she came out of her shell very quickly. Ice also accepted me soon after. It took Baby some time to adapt and accept. He was never defensive, but he used to shut down when I handled him. When I have timid ones, I try to spend more one-on-one time with them. I fed Baby on my lap, carried him around the house, and let him watch me work on my desk. Today, he is one of the most affectionate kittens towards me. Very similar to Truffles. He runs to me when he hears my voice and purrs loudly when I pick him up. Makes me think about all the timid cats out there that have the potential (and desire) to be someone's cuddle bug. #FosteringSavesLife 💗💗💗
