Medical Care at the Battle of Cedar Mountain - August 9, 1862

On August 9, 1862, US and Confederate forces clashed near Culpeper, Virginia in the bloody Battle of Cedar Mountain. Jake Wynn examines the medical aftermath of the battle. Among the many heroic doctors and nurses to care for the wounded in the aftermath was Clara Barton. Cedar Mountain marked the first time she witnessed amputations and other medical procedures up close. Mr. Wynn will also relate stories of other medical personnel in their quest to save as many lives as possible. If you enjoy the video then please hit that like button and subscribe!
