He is a graduate of Stanford University, did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii. He has lectured extensively in international, monetary, and financial economics. He is a member of the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, and the National Association for Business Economics, from which he holds the Certified Business Economist designation. Anders Hostelley brings two and a half decades of mortgage experience in the local home loans industry to Guaranteed Rate. Before joining Rate Mortgage Anders was the President of Honolulu HomeLoans, HomeLoans where he oversaw secondary marketing, shipping, funding, credit and loan production. Prior to working at Honolulu HomeLoans he fulfilled the role of Branch Manager of Honolulu and Kauai branches of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage of Hawaii, where his leadership consistently earned well-recognized top honors nationally for the company’s Presidents and Sales Leaders Club for branch profitability.
