শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকাদেরকে ছাড়া আমরা কেউই আজ যা সেই জায়গায় পৌঁছাতে পারতাম না। আমাদের জীবনের বেশিরভাগ সাফল্যের জন্যই তাঁরা দায়ী। আর শুধু স্কুল-কলেজে যারা আমাদের শিক্ষা দেন তাঁরাই আমাদের শিক্ষক নন, জীবনে যেই আমাদেরকে কিছু শেখায়, ছোটোই হোক বা বড়ো, সেই আমাদের শিক্ষক। কখনো আমাদের জীবন, কখনো কোনো সম্পর্ক বা কখনো কোনো ঘটনা জীবনে শিক্ষকের ভূমিকায় এসে দাঁড়ায় আমাদের সামনে। আগামী ৫ই সেপ্টেম্বর শিক্ষক দিবস আর সেই উপলক্ষে আজ আমরা বলব বাংলার কিছু শিক্ষকের কথা, যাঁদের কথা আমাদের সকলের জানা উচিৎ এবং মনে রাখা উচিৎ। আমাদের মনে রাখতে হবে মুর্শিদাবাদের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামের বাবর আলির কথা , যিনি মাত্র ৯ বছর বয়সে হাতে চক তুলে নিয়ে পণ করেছিলেন শিক্ষার আলো ছড়িয়ে দেবেন সবার মধ্যে। আবার ভুলে গেলে চলবে না বরুন বিশ্বাস কে, যে শিক্ষক শুধু শ্রেণীকক্ষের ভিতর ছাত্রছাত্রীদের অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ করতে বলেই থেমে থাকেননি, নিজেও তা করেছেন নিজের জীবন দিয়ে। শিক্ষক-ছাত্র সম্পর্ক যে কত মধুর হতে পারে, তা আমাদেরকে দেখিয়েছেন বিশ্ববিখ্যাত পদার্থবিদ সত্যেন্দ্রনাথ বসু এবং তাঁর এক বিখ্যাত ছাত্র, যিনি খ্যাতির চুড়ায় পৌঁছেও নিজের মাস্টারমশাইকে কোনোদিন ভোলেননি। আজ আমাদের পর্ব এঁদেরকে ঘিরেই। .................. Teachers are one of the most significant parts of our lives. We would be nothing without them, without everything that they have taught us. A good teacher makes a person. Teachers are not only those, who educate us at the schools or colleges; everyone that teaches us anything, big or small, in life is our teacher. Sometimes our teacher is a relationship; sometimes it’s a situation and sometimes life presents itself as the teacher. 5th September is our National Teacher’s Day and to celebrate that, today we will talk about some of the teachers of Bengal, whom we all should always remember. These are the teachers that inspire many. We have to remember Murshibad's Babar Ali, who became a teacher at the age of 9 with the aim of spreading education among the less fortunate. Also, we have to remember Barun Biswas, a teacher who not only taught his students to raise their voices against injustice; but he himself did so and paid for that with his life. World renowned physicist Satyendranath Bose showed us how beautiful a relationship between a teacher and a student can be. Today we will talk about all of them.
