Social media influencers and content creators can make millions of dollars documenting their life or sharing their hobbies. But most do not. In fact, most creators struggle to make a living. Julian, a lawyer for content creators and creator himself, sheds light on how content creators are being ripped off on social media by both brand sponsors and the social media platforms themselves. Social media - and the money it makes - aren't going anywhere, and it's something he encourages everyone to think about as we enter a digital era of humanity. Julian is a graduate of Harvard Law School and ex-Silicon Valley biglaw lawyer turned mental health advocate and content creator. He commands an audience of nearly 350,000 across social media platforms, where his content focuses on the legal profession, mental health, and social issues. He is also the founder of For Creators by Creators PC; a law firm focused on representing content creators and social media influencers. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
