4 Chemical Earthing Myths You Should Not Believe! 🚩

In this video, we describe the myths that have entered the discussion of Chemical Earthing for effective Earthing and Grounding for buildings, substations and other vulnerable structures. The first myth delves into the idea that Galvanised Steel Chemical Filled Electrodes are long-lasting. We argue that Copper Bonded Earth/Ground rods are longer lasting due to their construction and materials and thus, a more cost-effective alternative. The second myth involves the idea that chemical-filled electrodes are easy to install. We compare the installation requirements and time of Chemical Filled Electrodes and Copper Bonded Earth/Ground Rods. We conclude that Copper Bonded Earth/Ground Rods are much easier to install with minimal special equipment required. The third part of the video investigates whether chemical filled electrodes conform to international testing requirements and also the differences in testing requirements for chemical filled electrodes and copper bonded earth/ground rods. Axis Copper Bonded Rods are thoroughly tested to the highest international standards for composition and performance while Chemical Filled Electrodes do not have any performance criteria for testing, they are only tested for their dimensions. The final section of the video looks at the myth that chemical earthing is necessary to impove earthing in all environments.
