We finally knock down our 15 acres of Sorghum Sudan grass, it did well on the higher ground where it was not so wet, and I was also able to spread manure this spring. the lower ground was ok, but a thinner stand and about half the height. We ended up with 89 bales off this piece, I would have liked 150, but happy with it overall. I intended to record baling and wrapping as well, but we had a baler breakdown and by the time we got up and running I just needed to get it baled and wrapped and forgot to record! Next time! We cut this with our Kuhn FC353GC center pivot disc bine, it is an 11.5' cut, and has a finger comb conditioner which is similar to flail style except that it has a row of stationary fingers that the flails pass through to help crimp the crop.
