In this video, I use MrChromebox.tech's firmware flashing utility to free a Chromebox from this limitation and make it boot just like a "normal" computer. You'll need to remove the write-protection screw from inside your Chromebox first... you can see how that's done in my other videos (the screw’s location will vary depending on your Chromebox brand and model). Follow these steps and you'll be running the operating system of your choice in no time, and you'll be able to replace your SSD with a larger one too, if you like.
