This is a first in a series of videos that describes cyber supply chain attacks and risk management. In this introductory video, we define the term "supply chain," describe the supply chain problem, describe the phases or stages of the supply chain for a product, as well as provide two examples of cyber supply chain attacks. This series of videos is meant to provide an overview of applications of cybersecurity (e.g., maritime, aviation, supply chain, etc.) normally not discussed in information technology or cybersecurity courses, which help provide a broadening of a students understanding of how cybersecurity affects these domains, and its importance therein. This video is based upon research published by Joint Special Operations University as: J.P. Craiger, L. Lindamood-Craiger, and D.M. Zorri. (2021). Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management: Implications for the SOF Future Operating Environment. Monograph. MacDill AFB, FL: Joint Special Operations University Press. ISBN 978-1-941715-51-2. This 90-page monograph can be downloaded here: https://jsou.edu/Press/AuthorDashboar... The intended audiences for these videos include high school, community college, and lower-level university students who are interested in, or participating in, cybersecurity, information technology, or associated programs. Additionally, the first video in a series is broad enough to be understood by a general audience. This video is brought to you by the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) through funding from a National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education Grant (#1902329).
