I picked this up for $40 just for CUDA for Ollama. I ended up fully unlocking the card! Skip patching the driver yourself and download the per-patched driver I put together and uploaded: https://jordosjank.jcmptech.us/ NOTE: The drivers use an exploit to register as signed and may flag windows defender, and report it as a trojan. THIS IS A FLASE POSITIVE and exploits and firmware spoofing is required to get around hardware locks, and uses behavior similar to trojan. It is recommended to disable windows defender when running the installer. I am running this driver on my own server with zero trepidation (I run Sophos endpoint and it wasn't flagged so I didn't initially note it in the video or reddit post). However if your not comfortable with that, I am working on my own unsigned driver from scratch. That will not require spoofing or exploits and wont flag security software during install. However that driver when available will be unsigned, and will NOT work with most games that contain anti cheat. Installation will require you to point device manager to the correct driver and select your card, you wont have an installer, or contain the full NVIDIA suite. Nvidia goes to great lengths to lock this card down, so the only way to get around firmware locks in windows is Unsigned drivers, that will come with restrictions, or drivers that take advantage of an exploit. We are essentially "Hacking" the card for purposes NVIDIA didn't intend it for.
