Zentangle Paper Sculptures (Remote Art Lesson Week 5 - 5th Grade)

This is a video I made for my 5th grade students. I start with a little explanation about a contemporary artist making work with paper airplanes or rather metal sculptures that look like paper airplanes. Then I discuss Zentangles a bit before students are challenged to create their own Zentangle drawings and fold them into paper airplanes or other sculptures. At the end of the video I demonstrate making my drawing into a paper airplane, a swan and a crane to give students a few ideas of how their finished work could look.
