How to Change a TPMS Sensor 2010-2015 Lexus RX350 and Others w/ Autel

In this video I remove my old TPMS sensor and replace it with an Autel TPMS new sensor. I also show the programming steps with an Autel TS508WF TPMS Diagnostics tool. I know some people don't like TPMS sensors and just think they are annoying, but I find them pretty handy when I'm driving down the freeway at 80 MPH and my tire pressure is rapidly decreasing due to something not as obvious that punctured it. Tools I used to do this (some I did not mention in the video): - Floor jack - Lexus standard jack - Jack stand - Autel MaxiTPMS TS508WF Programming Tool (eBay, cheaper than Amazon) - Autel MX-Sensor (Napa Auto parts) - Torque wrench, ft-lbs, (recommended, but optional) - Torque wrench, in-lbs, (recommended, but optional) - Ratchet wrench (Mine was broken..) - 11 & 12 mm sockets (11mm for Autel) - Impact drill (optional) - Squirt bottle with water and a little bit of soap in it - Rolling chair (optional) - Air compressor - Valve stem removal tool (recommended, but optional) - Piece of wood or similar (recommended, but optional) STORY: The original reason I began replacing my sensors was because I had a tire light come on blinking for about a minute and then it would stay solid. All the tire pressures were in range as well. So I initially purchased the Autel programmer tool because I had to replace some in my older 2008 Lexus ES350 (which had all original sensors that worked up until 2024). After I replaced my ES350 sensors, I began replacing the ones on the RX350. I started with the two sensors that had low batteries and I replaced them with Denso sensors from Rock Auto. After replacing the two, I had the light come back on after driving on the freeway once. I checked the other two sensors and one of them had a low battery on them, so I replaced that one with an Autel sensor from Napa Auto parts. Same thing happened and I checked the last sensor and it finally showed low battery. I also contacted Autel and they said to replace the last one as well (which I didn't really need to yet). FINALLY, I decided to replace this last 4th sensor, even though when I replaced it, it wasn't showing a low battery, but I knew they were 11 years old, so why not. After replacing all 4 sensors and relearned them, I was still getting a C2111 DTC code on my Autel, which didn't appear until after I replaced the first two sensors. After doing some digging on the internet, I read that some of those Denso sensors come to you in sleep mode, which you can still scan sensors in sleep mode and they show you the pressure. So C2111 was saying Transmitter D1 Stopped Operation (which was the drivers front sensor), and Toyota said I needed to turn the ignition on, release 6psi from the tire within 30 seconds and that will wake the sensor up. I did that and then proceded to clear the DTC and it WORKED! WHAT I LEARNED: I actually didn't need to replace my other two TPMS sensors at the moment, I just needed to wake up that Denso sensor and clear the DTC code with my Autel programmer tool. I don't regret replacing the other two though, because I know they were on their way out. 11 years is a long time to last in a tire. My 2008 Lexus ES350 TPMS sensors lasted 16 years. ** CHAPTERS ** 0:00 Intro 1. Taking off the tire 1:44 2. Squirting the tire bead 2:18 3. Removing air from the tire 2:34 4.
