INFINITAS – Biography Piri Betschart and Selv Martone founded the band INFINITAS in 2009 and it’s really taking off. Not only did their single Skylla make it into the Swiss Charts (19th place) for two weeks in 2018 and first place into Radio Sunshine Hörercharts. The Muotathaler Band also supported Eluveitie at their Album Release Show (Ategnatos) in 2019. They've already rocked a show at Z7 in Pratteln, at MetalDays in Slovenia and have shared the stage with Alestorm, Butcher Babies and Burning Witches. Combining several different styles of metal underlaid with folk violin and multitalented woman vocals gives INFINITAS’ music a unique touch. A fantasized middle-aged world full of demons runs like a thread through INFINITAS’ music and shows. Every song is based on a demon’s name, which reflects its’ character and tells a story about these mystical creatures. Their debut album CIVITAS INTERITUS (2017) combines music and stories. As a listener this album allows us a deep insight in the fantasy world of Lunatris. During the story Lunatris (the protagonist’s homeland) gets destroyed and possessed by demons. He is the only one who managed to escape and survive. Swiss Metal Factory couldn’t have summed it up better: “INFINITAS has proven that one can create great things by consequently following a clear concept and your own musical visions.” The Swiss METAL FACTORY describes the album as follows: "'CIVITAS INTERITUS' offers ten pieces that invite you to indulge... INFINITAS prove that a clear concept and the consequent pursuit of one's own musical visions can produce good." The German METAL HAMMER writes "INFINITAS juggling Folk, Thrash, Heavy, Power, Symphonic and Death Metal balls - and rarely in predictable directions ... the frontwoman is ready for any situation ..." Not only INFINITAS’ heavier songs are convincing - their single Skylla (2018, 19th place in the Swiss Music Charts) shows just as much power and creativity. Aside from the catchy song Skylla, the Muotathaler band also likes to present themselves from a calmer and multi-faceted side by playing an acoustic version of “Samael” and the instrumental song “Leprechaun” In December 2019 the Muotathaler band will be releasing their new album INFERNUM, in which the survivors story continues. Their first single of the album, Avnas, is very promising and reached 40’000 Youtube views within 3 weeks.
