What is the fastest fish in the world? In this video i will be trying to answer that question as I will be going through the five fastest fish species in the world. This was a very hard video to research as surprisingly there is a lot of false information out there and it is still a heavily debated topic and as there are 32,000 species of fish in the world it is quite hard to identify the fastest. This torpedo shaped fish is a highly adapted predator and uses its speed to hunt other smaller open ocean fish and because of it's speed it's only really preyed upon by orcas or the fastest of shark species. The next speedy fish is the shortfin Mako shark. The shortfin Mako shark is the fastest fish in the world and is closely related to the great white shark. the Mako sharks speed means that it can prey on the previously featured Atlantic bluefin tuna. Our next rapid fish is the wahoo. The wahoo is a fast member of the mackerel family and is also one of the largest members of this family. The Wahoo fish uses it's speed to prey on other open ocean fish. Our next fast fish is the striped marlin. The striped marlin is a very powerful apex predator and is a very highly valued game fish. It uses it's bill to knock smaller fish off their balance so that they are easier to eat. The final fish and the fish that is thought to be the largest fish in the world is the sailfish. The sailfish is another member of the billfish family but it easily stands out due to it's large sail.
