This is recovered video of Bruce Lee's 1967 demonstration in Long Beach, CA. This is a light sparring demonstration with his training partners Danny Inosanto and James Yimm Lee. This is one of the only videos in existence that shows his style unrehearsed. Note Bruce Lee's lead hand extended as a probe to gauge distance, a practice now used very commonly in professional fighting. UPDATE 8-2021: Please note that Bruce is introducing martial arts to the Western World through all the media outlets present. There were virtually no instructors in America, short of Robert Trias and a few other troops that learned it first-hand while deployed for World War II. It can be said the flashier the demonstration, the higher the audience. It can be debated if this demonstration was an accurate reflection of Jeet Kune Do. I'll leave that decision for the viewer.
