It's a fighting game featuring dinosaurs vs. monsters, what more can anyone ask for? Primal Rage is a fighting game originally released to the arcades in 1994 by Atari. The Sega Genesis version of Primal Rage was developed by Probe and published by Time Warner Interactive the next year. Considered to be a competent version of Primal Rage, the Sega Genesis cartridge features one or two player gameplay and all of the characters from the arcade game. The storyline is set in the future as dinosaurs and monsters battle to conquer Earth and earn primitive worshippers. The fighting style is typical for the mid-90s and somewhat similar to the ultra-popular Mortal Kombat series with button combos and bloody finishing moves. Characters in the game include Diablo, Armadon, Blizzard, Sauron, Talon, Chaos and Vertigo.
