Kalaripayattu is the oldest form of martial arts originated in Kerala, India. Kalaripayattu also called as Kalari is considered as the mother of all martial arts. In my travel to Thekkady, Me and my mother had a chance to visit Kadathanadan Kalari centre. It is an one hour show which we thoroughly enjoyed it. There were other Kalari arts performed in this center before this fire arts but I felt this fire arts deserve more recognition as it is a sight to watch. The pricing for watching this Kadathanadan Kalari is 300 rupees per person as of August 2024. In addition to Kalaripayattu, the Kadathanadan center also hosts Kathakali show.
