In this video, I will show you how I wrote a song in one day using Ardour, the free and open source digital audio workstation. This DAW is better than FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Bitwig, and all the other DAWs that rip you off with their lack of features. Additionally, I also use Musescore to write my ideas down before putting them on Ardour. Once the notes are down, I synthesise the sounds and use the samples I need and then I record my vocals.
