Commodore 64 - Introduction to Programming - Level 1 -

This is Part 1 of an introduction to Commodore 64 Basic, written and presented by David Redclift, and produced by the Holiday Brothers Ltd in 1984. This video serves as an excellent resource for those just starting out with Commodore 64 Basic. It provides a comprehensive introduction, making it an ideal guide for beginners. Note on Part 2 I initially planned to enhance and release Part 2 to complete this tutorial series. Unfortunately, the quality of the currently available source material on YouTube, particularly the audio, is so poor that it's been challenging to bring it up to an acceptable standard. As a result, I've decided not to release it at this time. If any viewers possess the original VHS or a higher-quality digitized version, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please do not hesitate to reach out, and together we can bring Part 2 to life in the best possible way. I have downloaded a digital copy and enhanced both the audio and video using Izotope RX 10 Advanced, Reaper 6.80, Topaz Video AI, and Davinci Resolve 18. Color correction The color corrections were executed in Davinci Resolve 18. The original video (   • Commodore 64 - Introduction to Progra...  ) had an orange tint and yellow highlights. Picture quality enhancements with AI To reduce the halo and compression artifacts, Topaz Video AI was utilized with the following settings: - Enhancement: Artemis - input set to "Low Quality" - No upscaling - No frame interpolation Audio Enhancements - Izotope RX 10 Advanced was used to eliminate noise and hum. - Reaper 6.80 was deployed for additional cleanup, making the voice sound more intelligible. - The basic program audio elements were left untouched, but the level was lowered by 10db to smooth the transitions between the dialogue.
