This boat restoration project is a bare hull rebuild of a 1986 Albin 27 Family Cruiser pocket trawler. Over the next 24-36 months this boat will get a refit of new marine systems: electrical, plumbing, navigational, etc. In addition with will get a new Beta Marine diesel engine. My Albin 27 trawler restoration has some custom features including a stand alone shower on a boat, remodeled bathroom, extended hardtop, non-skid, reinforced bow pulpit, and many more. There's a lot of work to do, so lets get to started. Welcome to my boat building channel! This is my trawler restoration of an Albin 27 pocket trawler. Every couple of weeks I post a boat building or boat repair video to document various boat projects, sailboat restorations, or boat repairs. The Albin 27 was manufactured in the New England area of the United States from approximately 1983 to 1992. There were reportedly 500-600 of these boats manufactured. The Albin 27 is trailerable and weighed approximately 6,500 pounds from the factory. It is a true pocket trawler with a forward and aft cabin, galley, head, and pilothouse helm.
