I made this soap using a new technique I learned in the Soap Challenge Club called the Kiss Pour taught by Joanne of Nature’s Potion Handmade Soap. Every little bit helps, though, so thank you very much if you do! :) ••• RECIPE ••• See end of video for recipe Essential oil blend for fragrance: Sweet Orange 6X - 20% Lavender - 25% Lavandin - 20% Litsea Cubeba - 30% Patchouli - 5% First time using this blend. I liked it much better after the soap cured a few weeks and the litsea cubeba had faded a bit. It’s a nice fresh scent, but I’ll probably lower the litsea to about 25% and up the lavender/lavandin next time. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. These videos are intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking has many variables and involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear. While I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining, so many variables go into making soap and even the smallest change can greatly affect the results; therefore, I am not liable or responsible for your results if you try any of the methods or techniques that I use in my videos. ••• TIMELINE ••• 00:00 Intro & Safety 01:00 Prepare Colorants 01:37 Mix Oils & Lye 03:00 Divide & Color Soap 04:43 Kiss Pour 07:43 Unmold, Cut, & Trim 09:46 Recipe #soapmaking #soap #soapchallengeclub
