Luke Casey visits the Maison de Danse

The team at YFA and NEFA were very sad to hear of the recent death of veteran broadcaster, Luke Casey, and send our condolences to his family. Luke was a familiar face to viewers of Nationwide, Look North, and - more recently - The Dales Diary. We owe Luke a debt of gratitude as, in 2002, he was instrumental in launching plans for a project to create what would eventually become the North East Film Archive. In this clip, taken from a BBC newsreel c.1969, Luke revisits his teenage hangout, the Maison de Danse in Stockton, shortly before its demolition.
