In this video I look at capturing DV and HDV footage on Windows 11 using two free programs. Most editing programs have now removed the ability to capture DV and HDV - although if you can capture the footage most programs will still let you edit it, so you need some way to get the footage onto the PC. This maybe related to the type of deck - I use Sony equipment but the problems have been with Canon and JVC. In both cases Scenalyzer did work instead of WinDV.
