Moscow Mule | How to Drink

It's about time that I show you how to make a proper Moscow Mule. Get your first audiobook free when you try Audible for 30 days! That doesn't mean it isn't a tasty drink! It's a fantastic drink! The Moscow Mule is a delightfully refreshing combination of vodka and spicy ginger beer and there are definitely times when nothing else will do. The copper mug has no real historical precedent other than more marketing but hey, it looks great! Giving this drink its very own unique serving vessel is a big part of what sets it apart and lead to it's enduring popularity so kudos to the inventors. In my version I elevate the drink by crafting my own ginger beer in the mug by combining homemade ginger syrup and seltzer, I've provided the links to those recipes above if you want to follow in my steps exactly but feel free to swap my syurp + seltzer combo in favor of a good ginger beer if you're so inclined. Without further rambling I proudly present The Only Moscow Mule You Need! Moscow Mule 2 oz. or 60 ml. Vodka 1 oz. or 30 ml. Lime Juice 2 oz. or 60 ml. Ginger Syrup ~ 5 oz. or 150 ml. Seltzer (OR skip the Ginger Syrup+Seltzer Combo in favor of a spicy ginger beer like Reed's) Build over cracked ice in a copper mug Garnish with a lime wedge Most of the tools and gear I use on the show can be found on my gear page at: http://bit.ly/H2DGear BUT, here's a couple of links that everyone is almost always asking me about: Koriko Weighted Shaker Tins: https://amzn.to/2MvyOWs Koriko Hawthorne Strainer: https://amzn.to/2IAZrHr Leopold Jigger: https://amzn.to/2KsBu6B Imbibe!
