The head of Ofcom has told Sky News misogyny is a problem in "public discourse" but the media regulator does not "shoot from the hip" when launching investigations. Dame Melanie Dawes' interview with Sophy Ridge came in a week when GB News suspended presenters Dan Wootton and Laurence Fox over comments made about a female journalist. Ofcom says it is investigating the incident - Laurence Fox apologised on Twitter on Thursday evening and said he was facing the sack from the broadcaster.
