SECURITIES & EXCHANGE RECRUITMENT OF OFFICER GRADE A (ASSISTANT MANAGER) 2018 BOARD OF INDIA 2. ABOUT SEBI The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is the regulator for the securities market in India. It was established in the year 1988 and given statutory powers on 30 January 1992 through the SEBI Act, 1992. 3. The post which will be available in this recruitment project is Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) -  General Stream  Legal Stream  Information Technology Stream  Engineering Stream Recruitment of Officer Grade A 4. Phase I : An on-line examination consisting of MCQ  General Awareness  English Language  Quantitative Aptitude  Test of Reasoning  Awareness of Securities Market Structure of the Exam 5. Phase II : Candidates shortlisted in Phase I will appear for Phase II, which will also be an on-line examination consisting of three papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview. Structure of the Exam 6. The number of vacancies are 120. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED Stream Educational Qualification General 1. Master’s Degree in any discipline OR 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Law OR 3. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR 4. Chartered Accountant OR 5. Company Secretary OR 6. Chartered Financial Analyst OR 7. Cost & Work Accountant Legal Bachelor’s Degree in Law 8. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED Stream Educational Qualification Information Technology 1. Graduate in engineering (electrical/ electronics/ electronics and communication/ information technology/ computer science) OR 2. Masters in Computers Application OR 3. Graduate in any discipline with post graduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in computers/ information technology. Engineering (Civil) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 9. Age Limit A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on August 31, 2018 i.e., the candidate must have been born on or after September 01, 1988 10. Rs. 850/- as application fee cum intimation charges for Unreserved and OBC (NCL) category and Rs. 100/- as intimation charges for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. Application Fee 11. REGISTRATION START 11 1.Application Link will start on 15th September 2018. Examination Centres: The on-line examinations and interviews will be held in various cities across India. 12. Probation: The selected candidates shall be recruited as Officers Grade ‘A’ and will undergo a probation of two years. Accommodation & Posting: Residential accommodation shall be provided subject to availability. The Officers may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices. The officers may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of stream. 12 Service Conditions/ Pay and Allowances 13. THIS IS A SLIDE TITLE Pay & Benefits: The pay scale of Officers Grade ‘A’ in SEBI is Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB- 1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600 (17 years). Other benefits viz., House Allowance, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, etc., will be as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI. 13 14.
