不走大眾熟悉的硬漢嶺步道登觀音山，改走原始的山山林小徑北橫古道爬觀音山，領略不同的觀音山風情。從開山凌雲寺出發，走福隆山步道至凌雲禪寺，再接尖山步道至橫嶺古道，然後接牛寮埔步道，再進入山徑，直攻觀音山硬漢嶺。回程走硬漢嶺步道下山，回到開山凌雲寺。環狀健行一圈，約4.5小時。 Instead of climbing the Guanyin Mountain by the Yinhan (Tough Guy) Peak Trail that is familiar to the public, take the original mountain trail to climb the Guanyin Mountain by the Beiheng Historical Trail to appreciate the different sincery of Guanyin Mountain. Starting from Kaishan Lingyun Temple, take the Fulong Mountain Trail to Lingyun Zen Temple, then connect the Jianshan Trail to the Hengling Historical Trail, and then connect to the Niuliaopu Trail, and then enter the mountain trail climbing straight to the Guanyin Mountain Yinhan Peak. On the return journey, take the Yinghan Peak Trail down the mountain and return to Kaishan Lingyun Temple.
