Four years ago we drove the Chinese manufactured Haval H9 large SUV. It wasn’t bad. We thought it needed one more significant upgrade to be pretty good but certainly as a large family car it did a lot of things comfortably well. In 2018 they did a fair bit of improvement and now they have added some extra safety devices and for the top of the range model, the Ultra, a little optimist in its title, but they have added some remarkable comfort features. 2019 was a growth year for Haval in Australia with the best results from their smaller models. This big SUV is competing against some long-standing giants. Let’s see how this one goes
