Vintage Swimsuit from a Dress Pattern: Part 1

In preparation for the 2024 Peg City Pin-up Pageant I’m making a 1950s bathing suit! I’m up sewing creek without a pattern (yikes, that one didn’t make the final cut for this video, but had to share). I’m super excited to take part in my first ever Pin up pageant and of course I’m sewing as many of my vintage-inspired items as I can. This bathing suit is made from non-stretch fabric (send thoughts and prayers) from a 1956 Miriam Martin, mail order dress pattern because, why make things easy for myself?
