He writes the book and shares his story as a way to preserve an accurate historical record of his life. Christie also delves into his complicated relationship with his first wife, sharing that he felt a sense of obligation to include her in the book. He discusses the challenges of balancing the outlaw lifestyle with marriage and fatherhood. One of the best things about being a Hells Angel was the freedom and the ability to think outside the box, while the worst was the constant scrutiny and harassment from law enforcement. Christie believes that some in law enforcement took their power too far and used it to attack him and his family personally.
