Planning a trip to Monument Valley? Wondering if the guided tours are worth it? Click here to find out! Monument Valley is a Navajo Reserve that essentially functions as a National Park. It's located not far from the 'four corners' of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. We added to our itinerary after seeing the 'big 5' National Parks in Utah (Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands), because we absolutely fell in LOVE with Utah and the red rocks. The tour guides are Navajo, and speak with great passion and enthusiasm. We learned about the customs, dance, and food of the Navajo. We even saw some 1000+ year old petroglyphs, carved by a tribe of Navajo that averaged 5 feet tall. We learned a lot, and in the end, we would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND the guided tours in Monument Valley.
