Deep in the heart of the South Yorkshire coalfield, one man dares to dream different. Mr Buckle, of Cawood, claims to have developed an engine that uses salt water rather than fossil fuel. Magnus Pyke is despatched to decide whether it is practical, and hear how the habitual explosions that accompany Mr Buckle's work led to temporary blindness in one eye.
