Ultra-low production car here, it is said that only 212 1969 F-85s with the W-31 performance package were made. This one is #'s matching and features a 4-speed manual transmission increasing its rarity and desirability! On top of that it has received a top quality, frame off rotisserie restoration that will absolutely blow your mind! It received 983 out of 1000 possible points while being judged at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals and 994 at the Olds Nationals. It has been meticulously kept since. Really, this is one of the finest cars I've had in a long time. Fit, finishes and function is amazing! The original owner's manual, protect-o-plate and warranty pamphlet with salesman's card stapled to it are included. This car's history: Bill Austin, a salesman at Farnsworth Oldsmobile in Plainwell MI, was a drag racing enthusiast. In the summer of 1969, he special ordered this no frills, stripped down F-85 with the W-31 performance package. A gentleman named William Cool walked in the showroom and fell in love with this car. On July 7th, 1969, he was its new proud owner. He owned it until 1984 when Stephen Hanner, an Olds enthusiast talked Mr. Cool into selling him the car. Mr. Hanner owned it until 2008 when Mr. Bakanec bought the car and started the concourse restoration. I happen to know Mr. Bakanec from my days being a member of the Olds club, he has done some top-notch restorations on some rare 442s. In 2010 it was purchased by the gentleman I acquired the car from. He finished the restoration, had it judged and kept meticulous care of the car. Now it's your turn to be a part of this car's history! EXTERIOR: The exterior of this car is something special! The quality of the paint and body work is tremendous! The crimson red paint is spotless and applied with expert precision. It was painstakingly wet sanded and polished to a mirror like finish. The black W-31 stripes have been applied under the clear coat and are completely smooth to the touch. Additionally, this is the factory correct paint color. Looking down the side of the body is absolutely 100% laser straight with no discrepancies noted. All the panels have been aligned properly and the doors, hood, and trunk all open and close easily. All the glass is new, and it is blemish free. The front grill looks like new. All the trim pieces including the front and rear bumper have been rechromed or replaced and have a beautiful shine to them. The body-colored rims with poverty hubcaps really give this Olds a sleeper appearance. Upfront they are wearing reproduction G70-14 Goodyear polyglass tires, in back it has a set of much needed Mickey Thompson street slicks. This exterior is absolutely immaculate and will please even the fussiest collectors! INTERIOR: Wow! Can you say new? Everything about this interior looks brand new and dare I say, perfect condition. Like the exterior it is no frills although it has 1 very special feature: a Hurst shifter sticking out of the floor. The front bench seat has been reupholstered and leaves you plenty of room to cuddle with your sweetheart. Both the front and rear seats have new cushions as well and are very comfortable. The door panels have also been replaced and are spotless. The carpeting and kick panels are new. The headliner, sun visors, seat belts, and rearview mirror have all been replaced. The dome light is working. The dash pad has been replaced and the climate control along with all the knobs look like new. There is a radio delete. The gauges appear to be original but in fantastic condition. The steering column and wheel both look new as well. A vintage Sun Super tachometer has been added to the steering column and a SunPro triple gauge has been added under the dash. This is arguably one of the most pristine interiors that we have at the museum currently! ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is a rare sight indeed! The original #'s matching W-31 350 Ram Air engine! Originally, they pumped out an impressive 325 hp with upgraded cam, valves etc. Although it looks bone stock on the outside, this motor has been professionally built, balanced, blueprinted, and is now making 427 hp and 460 lbs of torque! A detailed 6 page invoice from C.P. Motorworks is included. It runs strong! This engine compartment looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. All the components, brackets, valve covers and of course the unique Ram Air system looks factory fresh. No frills here either, of course no a/c, no power steering. Power brakes were not even available because of the lack of vacuum from the aggressive cam. It has correct clamps, battery cables, stickers etc. 📧: [email protected] ☎️: 815-385-3644 CHAPTERS ============= 0:00 Intro 1:27 Body & Exterior 4:46 Trunk 6:18 Interior 8:34 Engine 10:47 Test Drive 14:36 Undercarriage 16:16 Outro
