"Nowhere Man" Guitar Tutorial - Easy Lesson (No Barre Chords!) | The Beatles

Welcome to my "Nowhere Man" Guitar Lesson + Tutorial, by The Beatles. This is the easiest way to play this Beatles classic. On top of playing it like the original, I've replaced the barre chords with simpler versions (easy open chords) that sound great. Nowhere Man uses the most common strumming pattern ever and is a good way to start learning barre chords, or can be learned as a simple strumming sing-along! "Nowhere Man" CHORDS: D, G, A, Em, Gm, F#m "Nowhere Man" STRUMMING PATTERN: D-Du-uDu (the most common pattern ever) ► "Nowhere Man" FULL PLAY-THROUGH (practice the whole song with me) available on my Patreon page:   / 57055526   ► Grab your copy of my FREE E-BOOK! https://goodguitarist.com/learn-rhyth... ► Need help with the basic chords and strumming? My beginner guitar course will help you build a solid foundation one step at a time: https://goodguitarist.com/beginner-gu... ► "Barre Chords Made Easy" shows you a gradual path from the power chord (a simple barre chord anyone can play) to the real deal: https://goodguitarist.com/barre-chords/ ► Here's a lesson for the most common strumming pattern ever:    • This Strumming Pattern Works on Almos...   "Nowhere Man" TABLE OF CONTENTS 0:00 - INTRO 1:29 - CHORDS + SWITCHING TIPS 3:12 - SWITCHING PRACTICE 4:35 - STRUMMING PATTERN 6:19 - VERSE PLAY-ALONG 7:31 - THE BRIDGE 9:20 - BRIDGE PLAY-ALONG 9:51 - THE INTRO 10:32 - SONG FORM + ENDING The lesson begins with the chord shapes. There are 4 easy chords: D, G, A, Em, and 2 barre chords: Gm, F#m. For the barre chords, we have two options, we can play the G minor and F# minor barre chords as usual, but I also have a simpler version for each that is really easy to play and sounds great! So, if you want, you can include the barre chords, or you can play this song without using any barre chords.. totally up to you. Once we're familiar with the shapes, we practice them using downstrokes only just so we can work out the order and play each one for the right amount of time. The strumming pattern for this one is the most common strumming pattern ever. We break it down, count it out and put it back together. If you'd like, I have an entire lesson where I go over this strumming pattern in detail. You can find it here:    • This Strumming Pattern Works on Almos...   We put the chords and strumming pattern together and play through the verse, and then we do the same for the bridge. The Intro requires us to work on our counting a little bit, as there is a section where we play no chords but still have to keep track of the beat. The Ending requires us to repeat the last 4 chords of the verse, two times. Once you're familiar with each section and can play it, just like we do in this tutorial, you're ready to put the song together! Here is the chord order: INTRO VERSE BRIDGE VERSE 2 BRIDGE 2 VERSE 3 BRIDGE 3 VERSE 4 ENDING If you'd like to practice the entire song with me, there's a full playthrough available on my Patreon page, where I play through the entire song, start to finish. More information on that here:   / 57055526   Hope you enjoy the lesson! Take care! -James --- http://goodguitarist.com/Nowhere-Man-...   / goodguitarist   #NowhereMan #TheBeatles #GuitarTutorial
