Some of you guys and gals asked me, if it's possible to play a Blues solely using half diminished chords. Let's find out! A Half dimninished chord sounds great over a dominant choord. I'll explain you why and how this works and if we can apply half diminished 7th chords over other chord types as well. In a Jazz Blues we also have a minor chord and an altered chord. So this will be interesting to hear. And then there's that famous 6th bar, where there's a fully diminished chord. We'll find out how to treat that one. I'll also tell you the difference between a half diminished vs fully diminished chord. I show everything slo and easy. I made two chorusses over a Jazz Blues in Bb. I'll explain the first chorus in detail. We'll do the analysis, so you know what you're doing and can start to apply using half diminished chords guitar. The second chorus is in the Tabs, that you can download from the link above. I've also made a Jazz Blues half diminished Backing Track, so you can start practicing right away.
