The sixty-second episode of Boss Analysis. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is probably my favourite of the three DS Castlevania games, and perhaps the very game to teach me the beauty of challenge runs with its level restriction options and many character choices. Playing video games under the hardest conditions is a fantastic way to appreciate their overall design and the amount of thought that must go into creating tough but fun and fair boss battles. However, while this is very true of Portrait of Ruin for the most part, there's one section of the game they forgot about these rules and ended up bringing another Boss I Hate into existence... Little fun fact: this boss was originally going to be one of the featured bosses of Boss Analysis # 37, but I ended up deciding to leave it for another day. That day has arrived with this episode!
