Dashcam video shows Hamas militants attacking Israelis hiding in a shelter

New video has emerged showing a British-Israeli soldier’s final act to save dozens of civilians hiding in a bomb shelter by throwing back seven grenades at Hamas gunmen. Staff Sergeant Aner Shapiro, 22, was one of hundreds of people at the Supernova festival, near Kibbutz Re’im, which was attacked by Hamas on October 7. In the dashcam video, Hamas terrorists can be seen lobbing grenades into a bomb shelter where Shapiro and as many as 30 others had sought refuge. The Israeli army says its forces are carrying out “a precise and targeted operation” against Hamas militants in al-Shifa hospital, the largest in the besieged territory of Gaza. Witnesses said they had seen tanks in the hospital grounds and soldiers entering the hospital’s emergency department and basement, where Israel’s military claims Hamas has a command centre.
