HOW TO GET A HIGH SCORE IN SIFU (UPDATED) Taunting up to 5x was patched out long ago. Now Taunting only helps a little. To max score, here's the rub: 1. Taunt at the start of every new brawl. Taunting only raises your bar to the maximum of the modifier number, so at the start of a fight, it'll go to 1x. If you're at the bottom of 2x, it'll go to max 2x. Etc. Basically a single Taunt will only work at the start of a fresh fight, but it will help you get to 3x faster. 2. Use Calbot focus move. This will increase your modifer by 1x. So start fights with a Taunt and consider Calbot as your second opening salvo. 3. Don't get hit lol. But yes, don't, as not getting hit keeps your 3x up. Use avoid and parry, and especially attacks that also avoid, such as Crotch Punch, Duck Strike, Reverse Sweep, Snap Kick. Strong Sweep focus is good for temporarily getting enemies that are the biggest threat off your case while you deal with the lesser threats to thin the herd. Just remember, don't run from enemies, your modifier will go down. 4. Throw enemies wherever possible. Off ledges whenever possible, even if you have to lure them to one. 5. People say aggression is key. It isn't. Efficiency is key. Be fast, yes, but focus on efficiency above all else. That is, not getting hit, and dispatching enemies fast. Doing combos and being aggressive and smacking into enemies works against your score. Insta killing enemies and taking them out before they even taken another punch is better. Taking enemies out with their health at full can be done with throwing them off ledges before you've hit them, breaking their structure with parries and weapon blocking before finishing them off, etc. Absolute efficiency is key! One example of absolute efficiency is to throw an enemy off a ledge while their health is at max and your modifier score is 3x yellow. That sort of thing. 6. Always takedown the moment you see the prompt. That is, don't punch/kick enemies with a takedown prompt. Surrounded by enemies and one has a takedown prompt? Ignore the others, do the takedown! However, try to make sure the enemy has a good bit of health otherwise you'll get lower score than you could have. 7. If an enemy can be taken down and killed but is an enemy that can go into rage, don't kill them. Let them rage. More score can be obtained from raging enemies, so long as you're efficient with killing them while they're raging! 8. Do one shots with the charged backfist while holding a knife. 9. Counterattack. Efficiency is best done on stunned enemies. Parry is the best for this, so it's worth practicing and unlocking parry perks. If you can taunt, parry, heavy attack, calbot if you get hit, parry again, then throw and/or then takedown as this should be available by now for most enemies, you can get a very high score with a simple process. If getting hit is a problem constantly, switch the heavy attack for one of the avoid attacks mentioned in point 3. 10. Not getting hit is lol, I get it, as you will get hit sometimes no matter how good you are. When you do, foot sweep and then taunt again if you can. Calbot again if need be too. Best to get that modifier up before counter attacking once again. 11. Remember, the more you avoid an enemies attacks the more you will stun/make them dizzy, which leaves them open to attacks to finish them off. If you're struggling to parry, practice it, otherwise get used to holding block and swaying left, right, up or down to avoid. 12. Don't sleep on weapons. Weapons give you great score from attacking, and they don't break when defending. So if you block with them you can break structure easily, making taking out enemies with full health a cinch many times over beore the weapon finallly breaks. If you see a weapon, maybe use it... That's a bunch of tips, sure, but take from it what you think you can work with. There's enough there for you to get a high score. Just don't think you have to rush, be aggressive, and churn out attack combo's like you're on fire or any thing, as efficiency is all about not getting hit, stunning and instakilling enemies as quickly as possible. I would also change my recommendations in this video for what to upgrade. Instead I would 100% prioritize focus reserve, parry impact, weapon proficiency, structure reserve, structure regain, and weapon durability. I made another complete guide on how to upgrade your character as you play to beat the game at age 20. Guide is here: • Sifu - The Best Upgrade Path to Go 20/0 Hope this helps, cheers!
