Rustproofing CITROEN AMI with LANOGUARD & How to Remove Front & Rear Bodywork

The Citroen Ami Electric quadricycle has a box section steel chassis clad with plastic bodywork. The steel has a very thin coat of paint from the factory (in Morocco) and would rust very rapidly, here in Scotland, where they use salt on the roads in winter. To combat the rust, I have rustproofed the chassis using "Lanoguard". This is a Lanolin based coating which is applied by spray and injected into the box sections. The Lanoguard dries to a thin clear coating. It is recommended to re-apply the coating each year. Lanoguard can be applied to plastics, cables and connectors if necessary. Lanoguard dries in about 24 hours and does not have a strong odour. Access to the front and rear of the chassis requires that the front & rear bodywork is removed. This is very easy - disconnect the wiring to the indicators and numberplate lamp, pop out a couple of cover panels, unbolt (6) 10mm headed bolts at each end and unclip the panels. I also located the Ami's jacking points (not shown in the user manual). This is not a sponsored video - I bought the Lanoguard kit at full retail price for evaluation.
