Museum Antoine de Saint Exupery. Alghero. Sardinia. Italy In May 1944, Antoine De Saint-Exupéry arrived at the Fertilia military airfield in a B26, a fighter converted into an observation aircraft. He lived in Alghero in a villa opposite the Torre Nuova on the bay of Porto Conte. Here he wrote most of his novel "The Wisdom of the Sands" and his last "Letter to an American". The life and work of the writer-aviator are celebrated by MASE in a separate museum space in places so close to the author of "The Little Prince". The museum has the most artifacts from the time of his stay in Sardinia in Alghero.
