The objective of the event was to promote the production of traditional seeds. We got an invite to come cook and experience the work done by the farmers in the district. We also got to talk to the participants of the fair in regards to the cultural importance of traditional seeds. ~ What We Cooked at the Fair: » Inhloko – Ox-Head » Amangqina – Cow Hooves » Umfushwa wendumba – Dried leaves of cowpea beans » Isitshwala samabele – Sorghum Sadza/Ugali/Pap Snacks: » Umtshwankela – Wild berry » Umkhomo – Baobab fruit ~Event Organisers: Zimbabwe Project Trust: https://www.zpt.co.zw/ Ministry of Land, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement: http://www.moa.gov.zw/ ~Let's Connect and get to know each other @MagrizaMadeMeCook » Instagram:   / magrizamademecook   » Facebook:   / magrizamademecook   » Twitter:   / magrizammc   About Magriza Made Me Cook: » Magriza is slang for uGogo (Grandmother in isiNdebele) and the name of the show is derived from Prince's inspiration for falling in love with cooking; his grandmother. The goal of MMMC is to document and serve Africa's diverse food culture, one dish at a time. We believe that Africa has got unique meals that ought to be talked about, and most importantly, cooked consistently. We believe in the values of Ubuntu, Respect, Creativity and Minimalism.
