Today on this 2006 Ford F150 Super Cab, we are going to install part number C13365. This is the Curt Class 3 2 inch receiver hitch. This is what your hitch looks like once installed. Next we'll give you some measurements to help out in searching some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground it will be 17 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper will be about 2 1/4 inches. Also, in this case the hitch also when pass to the edge of the bumper by about a 1/4 of an inch. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First we are going to go ahead and show you where our hitch mount set on the frame of the truck. It is easy, they are mounted to this hole right here, this one and over on the bumper it will attach to these holes. Now this is all in the driver side, same thing on the passenger side. Now we'll go ahead and cover how the hitch bolts up to the frame of the truck. The short 1/2 inch bolt will go from the inside of the hitch through the bumper bracket and then a flange nut on the other side. OK, on the front at the bumper same thing, this will go through the hitch through the bumper bracket and then a flange nut on the other side. Now inaudible 00:01:25 is a little different, up underneath the step part of the bumper 5/8 bolt this time, flat washer, 5/8 flange nut. This is identical on both sides of the hitch. All right, now we are ready to put up our hitch. We'll start off by getting an extra set of hands holding the hitch up, we will put our 5/8 hardware in first. If you have a trouble aligning the hitch up with the bumper, you can actually loosen up these two nuts here using a 21 mm socket and then using a screwdriver or a pry bar, you can get a little bit of extra movement. We'll install all our fasteners on finger tight first. Now we are going to push up on the bumper a little bit to get this one to line up. OK and then we'll snug them down. All right now 1/2 inch fastener, use a 3/4 inch socket to tighten down and this we'll use a 15 16 socket and then torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. We'll tighten down our bumper bolts here. That's what it takes to install a Curt 2 inch Class 3 receiver hitch part number C13365 on ur 2006 Ford F150 Super Cab. .
