Korua Transition Finder Review

Read the full review at https://oldguysriptoo.com Korua Shapes is a snowboard company that makes high-quality boards for riders of all levels. My first Korua board was the Otto and I quickly came to love carving down the mountain and was excited to try another from their line. The Korua Transition Finder is a snowboard designed for all-mountain riding, including powder, groomers, and off-piste terrain. It is a fun board in any condition and I was lucky enough to get in a lot of time on this board both at the end of last season and more early season riding this year. The Transition Finder did receive an update this past year, giving it slightly less taper. The Korua Transition Finder features a tapered directional shape, meaning that the board has a slightly bigger and wider nose for better performance in powder. The board has a medium flex, making it versatile enough for all types of riding, from park laps to backcountry runs. The Transition Finder is softer in the nose and pretty stiff in the tail. The board has a fair amount of torsional flex and this combined with the rocker in the nose makes turn initiation really smooth. It’s really a lot of fun to carve around on this board. One of the key features of the Korua Transition Finder is its Camber System. This system combines traditional camber with a slight rocker profile to provide the rider with both pop and stability. The camber gives the board a responsive feel and helps to generate speed, while the rocker provides a bit of forgiveness and helps to keep the board stable in variable terrain. This design allows for good edge hold and stability on hard-packed snow and groomers, while also providing float and maneuverability in deep snow. This board is pretty nimble edge to edge and really carves well. It’s lively and energetic in and out of turns, once on edge it holds really well. I also found the board to be pretty damp, it handles uneven snow well and you don’t feel much chatter. The Korua Transition Finder is also designed with a setback stance, which means that the bindings are mounted slightly towards the tail of the board. This helps to improve floatation in powder and provides a more natural stance for riding in deep snow. I really enjoyed this board in powder, it floats really well and is very surfy in deep snow. The Transition Finder has excellent pop and is very stable of jumps of all sizes. Not necessarily designed as a park board, the Transition Finder still tackles the park like a champ. There was not a condition out there that this board did not ride well in and can even be ridden switch. This board will easily become one of your goto daily drivers as it is really good in all conditions. Overall impressions Overall, the Korua Transition Finder is a versatile, all-mountain snowboard that can handle a variety of conditions and terrain. Whether you're an intermediate or an experienced rider, this board is worth considering if you're looking for a reliable and high-performance snowboard. Careful though, this board could easily be a quiver killer.
