Celebrating our Deaf Son's 2nd Hearing Birthday in Hawaii!!! Today is our Severe to Profoundly Deaf son's hearing birthday. It is his hearing birthday because 2 years ago today is when his bilateral cochlear implants got activated and he heard sound for the first time. He has made so much progress these past two years and we are so proud. He has had countless speech therapy sessions to get to where he is now and we still have a long way to go. We believe in him so much and know he will have total communication. We are so happy that our son Neo's hearing loss journey has helped so many people in similar situations to us. We love that he could be a light for so many people hearing and Deaf.
