HOW TO: setting up Walksnail OSD on ardupilot using Mission Planner

here's a quick guide on how to setup your Walksnail OSD Screens on your ardupilot rigs, using mission planner this time. Summary: 1. Configure your UART (I got my WS vtx connected to Serial5) Set SERIALn_Protocol to 42 (DisplayPort) Ser SERIALn_BAUD to 115 (this enables 115200 bps comms) 2. Configure OSD type Set OSD_TYPE to 5 (MSP_DISPLAYPORT) 3. Configure the OSD Screens (I use 3 screens on my setup: a main screen, a minimalistic screen, and a screen for displaying stats) set OSDn_TXT_RES to 1 (Optionally set it to 3 if you are using DJI WTFOS) 4. Setup arm/disarm screens, and OSD toggle channel (set it up according to you desired configuration) OSD_ARM_SCR to 1 OSD_DISARM_SCR to 3 (this is my stats screen) OSD_CHAN to 7 (you can use any spare channel) 5. Configure the OSD layouts drag the elements (NOTE: Walksnail uses 53x20, but in Mission Planner it only shows 50x18 grid, just ignore it) add/remove elements using checkboxes alternatively, you can use the full parameters list to enable elements 6. Done. Test it to check if the elements need to be adjusted ------------------- link to alternative setting up of the OSD overlay (using HD OSD TOOL) :    • how to setup HD OSD layout on Ardupil...
